New to Shiloh

I am New to Shiloh / Frequently Asked Questions:

Exactly how do I get to Shiloh Baptist Church?

What time should I arrive?

  • If you are coming to our corporate worship service you should arrive around 10:45. If you have children to take to the nursery come around 10:40. The service actually begins at 11:00.

What should I wear?

  • We dress casually. Most of the guys wear a golf shirt or button down and either slacks or blue jeans. Women usually wear dresses or slacks. Feel free to wear jeans as well.

Where should I park?

  • We have a casual parking system and anywhere you can find to park is fine. Usually there is more room on the side opposite the cemetery. Feel free to park in the grass as well.

Do you have childcare during services?

  • Yes. We have childcare for children up to 3 and after that the children attend corporate worship with the adults. The nursery is clean and safe and is located on the side opposite the cemetery. There is a sign “Nursery” on the door. Contact us in advance if you want to discuss child care or ask questions. We will be happy to answer your childcare questions.

After I park, then what?

  • If you have children look at item 5 above, otherwise, come into our main church building at the door under the tall steeple. Sometimes we call this auditorium the “the sanctuary.” When you open the door you will come through a little foyer and then you come into the sanctuary and you can sit anywhere. Do not worry that you might be in anyone’s seat because you are more important to us than that!

We are very friendly and we will be really excited that you came, so we will have many people come up and shake your hand and say “Thanks for coming.”

Will you ask me for a donation?

NO! Our members support the church, but we never ask our guests for money! It’s about God and not money.

Will you ask me to introduce myself in front of the church?

  • No way. We are opening our hearts to you, but we want you to feel comfortable. EVERY PERSON on the planet who wants to worship God is welcome at our meetings.

Will you preach on and on?

  • Yes…just kidding. No. I believe we need to honor our “contract” with you to not keep you longer than one hour. So we strive to get out at 12:00PM noon. We may go over five minutes or so, but being reasonable and responsible about our length of service is important.

I want to ask a question. Can I?

    • Yes. Contact me (Pastor Dan) at this email: pastor@shilohbaptist.church or reach me via our contact form.
    • If you will leave me your phone number, I will be happy to call you because you are important to us. We want you to understand we love you, God loves you, and God has a plan for your life that you can come to understand through us or another Bible believing local church.
